Four people were overcome by smoke, one was taken to the hospital.

The smoke alarms sounded, and the fire in Greenfield on Saturday morning grew to three alarms.

Crews were called to an apartment building on Greenfield Avenue just after 4 a.m.

All 20 apartments in the building were cleared out and a nearby senior center was used for shelter.

Four people were overcome by smoke. One was taken to the hospital.

Fire investigators said that the blaze started on the third floor of the building, but as of Saturday night, they didn't know the cause.
