The fire prompted a closure of several streets

A five-alarm fire at a Louisville warehouse caused part of the building to collapse and sent thick smoke into the air Friday night.

Firefighters were called to the warehouse, located at 1107 Zane, at about 6:45 p.m. The fire prompted a closure of several streets in the area, WLKY NewsChannel 32 reported.

No injuries were immediately reported. The name on the building was Container Corp. of America, but it was believed to be vacant.

The blaze appeared to cause a fire at a second building, located at 11th and Kentucky.

Firefighters still were battling the flames at 8:45 p.m.
