BEAVER, Pa. --

A warehouse fire destroyed more than 30 antique cars in Beaver County overnight.

The fire started around 7 p.m. at a building in Beaver Falls that is more than a century old.

Firefighters said the flames quickly spread through the building and the fuel in the cars and tires added to the strength of the fire.

Firefighter Mike Stowe said, The initial 20 minutes to a half hour, the heat was tremendous. It kept pushing us back further and further. The water supply was another thing. We had to call several departments in for additional pumpers because the hydrants in this area wasn't giving us sufficient water."

The 10 fire companies at the scene were able to keep the flames from spreading to nearby homes and buildings.

No one was hurt.

The blaze is now under investigation.
