The Lutherville Volunteer Fire Company has a new tool to help firefighters locate victims.

An infrared camera has a screen, which shows images of heat sources.

It enables firefighters to see in a room, even if the smoke is so thick you can't see your hand in front of you.

The fire department was awarded a $7,700 check from the firemen's fund insurance company to purchase the special camera.
