Two Connecticut Firefighters Struck By Car

Two firefighters are recovering after being hit by a car in New Haven.

NEW HAVEN, Conn. --

Two firefighters are recovering after being hit by a car in New Haven.

The firefighters were working on an accident on Interstate 91 near exit 7 Wednesday night when they were struck by an oncoming car.

Police said Vito Como, 91, ran into them while coming off the exit ramp.

The firefighters suffered minor injuries and were treated and released from the hospital.

Como was cited for driving too fast for conditions.
