Four Florida Firefighters Hurt Battling Blaze

One was seriously hurt after falling through the roof.

APOPKA, Fla. --

Four Apopka firefighters were hurt while battling a house fire Wednesday morning. One was rushed to the hospital in serious condition after falling through the roof.

The most severely injured firefighter was taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center with burns described as serious.

The three other firefighters suffered what appeared to be minor injuries.

The fire broke out in a two story house in Park Ave. and Martin St. near Tanglewild. The house was reportedly under construction.

The firefighter who was taken to ORMC fell through the roof of a lanai area. A second firefighter was slightly injured trying to assist. Two others were also hurt while battling the blaze. The three slightly injured were taken to Florida Hospital in Apopka.
