Charlotte Firefighters Busy

Three fires overnight kept crews hopping.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. --

Firefighters in Charlotte responded to three fires in about two hours early Tuesday morning.

Crews got a call about a fire on Wilson Glen Drive at about 1:30 a.m. in western Mecklenburg County. Investigators said the fire started in the dining room. One woman inside made it out OK.

About two hours earlier, firefighters put out a house fire on Belle Plaine Drive in east Charlotte. Neighbors called 911 when they saw fire coming out of the windows. The house is vacant. The fire damaged one room and the roof.

Firefighters also put out a fire that torched a church bus. The bus belongs to Faith Soldiers Word Ministry. It caught fire at the church.

Investigators are looking for the causes of each fire.
