New Orleans Has Little Water Pressure

June 9, 2006
Daily alerts are issued by officials.

Lately, the biggest problem for firefighters has been lack of water pressure.

The Sewerage and Water Board said pressure must be reduced in areas while they repair broken pipes.

That means homes and businesses could feel the effects as well.

The board said they will put out daily alerts so neighbors and business owners will be prepared for the pressure problems.

If there's a water leak in your area, you're urged to contact the Sewerage and Water Board.
