Iowa Firefighters Take Advantage of Cold Weather

The cold weather gave Des Moines firefighters an opportunity that they have not had in nearly two years.

The cold weather gave Des Moines firefighters an opportunity that they have not had in nearly two years.

Rescue crews spent Monday morning training for ice rescues on Gray's Lake. Twelve members of Station 6 took part in the training.

In the last two years, the weather was not been cold enough and the ice was not thick enough to allow for the training.
