Ohio Apartment Fire Displaces 12 People

A two-alarm structure fire that started just after 4 p.m. Saturday has forced at least 12 people out of their homes.

A two-alarm structure fire that started just after 4 p.m. Saturday has forced at least 12 people out of their homes.

The Red Cross is assisting them with shelter after a fire damaged three units in the Mt. Zion Apartments on Mt. Zion Road near Interstate 75.

Firefighters, as well as residents who were evacuated, sought temporary shelter in nearby garages. Portable heaters were brought in to keep everyone out of the cold.

Units from Walton, Burlington and Union, Kentucky were all called in to assist.

The cause of the fire is still under investigaion. There were no injuries.
