Cincinatti Council Approves Hiring 30 More Firefighters

Funding for these additional firefighters has yet to be approved, however.

Cincinnati city council wants the fire department to have more help, if it can figure out how to pay for it next year.

On Wednesday city council voted to hire 30-more firefighters, but the funding wasn't part of what it voted on. The cost would be at least $1.2 million.

How, or whether, to pay for it will be a decision for the next city council which will be elected in two weeks.
