Six Hurt in Baltimore Blaze

One firefighter and five civilians were transported to hospitals following the 7 a.m. blaze.

A fire in west Baltimore injured six people early Friday morning.

Fire officials said the blaze started around 7 a.m. in a rowhouse in the 1800 block of Westwood Avenue.

Officials said three children were taken to the University of Maryland Medical Center and two adults were taken to Shock Trauma. Their conditions are not known.

One firefighter was also injured. He was transported to Mercy Hospital.

Officials said the fire started in the kitchen.
