A D.C. Fire Department spokesman said two firefighters received minor injuries Thursday morning fighting a fire in northeast.
Spokesman Alan Etter said firefighters were called to the 500 block of 25th Place just after 2:30 a.m., for a fire that quickly went to two alarms.
The fire appears to have started on a rear porch of one row house and then spread to that row house and an adjoining row house. Etter said the rear of both row houses sustained heavy damage.
One of the injured firefighters received minor burns and the other fell through a floor, Etter said.
A dog that sniffs for accelerants was brought to the scene News4 reported.
Etter said three people were displaced by the fire, which remains under investigation.
