Five Civilians Hurt When Car Strikes Florida Emergency Vehicles Along I-95

Five people were hospitalized after an overnight crash involving an Florida Highway Patrol cruiser and a Jacksonville Fire-Rescue vehicle.

Five people were hospitalized after an overnight crash involving an Florida Highway Patrol cruiser and a Jacksonville Fire-Rescue vehicle.

Initial reports from JFRD indicated the trooper's car and rescue truck were on the side of Interstate 95 southbound just north of Myrtle Avenue assisting with another accident when a car struck both vehicles.

No officers or rescue personnel were injured, but a child and four others were taken to the hospital.

No of the injuries were believed to be life-threatening. No information was available whether anyone would be cited with causing the accident.
