Albuquerque firefighters had to rip through the side of a metal shop to put out a fire early Saturday morning.
A passerby in the area of Hawkins and Jefferson saw the smoke and flames at Barnett Ironworks and contacted authorities.
Fire crews said they couldn't roll up the metal door to the shop when they got there, so they had to use their equipment to break in.
Crews said welding gasses and other materials inside made the fire burn "very hot," but firefighters were able to put it out before it caused too much damage.
There is no word on how that fire started.
