One person remains in the hospital after being pulled from a burning home Sunday.

The fire broke out on in a two-story home on Juregens Avenue just after 11 p.m.

Firefighters said when they arrived the entire front of the building was spouting flames.

"When the companies got on scene we had heavy fire. We had fire coming out of the first floor, the second floor -- the whole front of the building was ignited, said Glenn Coleman, a firefighter at the scene.

Neighbors told firefighters that there were two people inside the house. When they returned to the building, they pulled the man to safety.

"Its just sad you know, he's been through so much, his wife passed a long time ago. He had his brother and his sister staying with him, its just so sad, said Meghan Williams, a neighbor to the blaze.

The man was rushed to University Hospital, but his name and condition have not been released.

Firefighters have not determined a cause for the fire.
