A driver with the Mount Carbon Fire Company was ticketed for his role in a crash during a parade near Pottsville last month.

State police said David Womer was driving a fire truck in the December 16 parade to welcome the Pottsville High School football team home from the state championship game in Hershey. When traffic came to a stop, Womer couldn't stop in time and his truck collided with a truck from the East End Fire Company #2 of Palo Alto.

Both trucks were damaged and several people had minor injuries.
