Two Pennsylvania Firefighters Hurt Battling Blaze

Both firefighters are expected to be fine.

Two firefighters were injured while fighting an overnight fire in East Pittsburgh.

The blaze started around 2 a.m. Thursday in a three-story apartment building in the 500 block of Grandview Avenue.

The firefighters were taken to UPMC Braddock Hospital; one with a muscle strain, the other with an electrical shock.

Both are expected to be fine.

Investigators said the fire started in the bathroom of a third floor apartment.

There is no word on the cause of the blaze.

The Red Cross is now providing food, shelter, and clothing to the seven adults and six children who are now out of their homes.
