The El Paso Fire Department unveils their new firehouse in far East El Paso, which is now helping to serve a booming community.
The new facility is state-of-the-art, with key safety features, including a geothermal water system built to run more efficiently and environmentally friendly when the fire house uses water. It's the first of its kind for any city facility.
Fire officials say it's expected to bring in a savings of about 60%. The system is on a trail basis, but the city is considering expanding to other facilities.
