The blaze damaged at least a dozen units, occupied by college students.

SEMINOLE COUNTY, Fla. --

A three alarm blaze started Saturday evening at the Tivoli Apartment complex on McCulloch Road, near State Road 434, in Seminole County. Flames and black smoke shot from the roof of one of the buildings.

The fire damaged or destroyed about a dozen units. Fire crews were still on the scene of the fire hours after it started.

Most of the people who lived there are UCF college students.

They (fire crews) have to go in apartment by apartment and see what kind of damage is done, said Lt. Paula Ritchie, with Seminole County Fire.

No one was injured in the fire. The Red Cross, along with the apartment complexs management company, worked together to find temporary shelter for tenants.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
