Houston Firefighters Battle Two-Alarm Blaze

Two units sustained heavy damage.

A two-alarm fire broke out at a southwest Houston townhome complex Wednesday morning, KPRC Local 2 reported.

Houston firefighters were called to the blaze at the Bimini Isle Townhomes on Bissonnet Street near Larkwood Drive at about 9:35 a.m.

Firefighters found smoke in the two-story building when they arrived. Flames quickly spread and crews had to cut a hole in the building's roof.

Officials said two units sustained heavy damage.

No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
