The eastbound lanes of U.S. 33 in the Dublin area will remain closed through Wednesday afternoon because of a crash involving two vehicles that is requiring hazardous material teams to clean up.
The closure is between state Route 161 and Avery Road.
Traffic is being directed to exit at S.R. 161/Post Road and use Avery-Muirfield Drive to U.S. 33, or Eiterman Road to Avery Road to U.S. 33, according to the Ohio Department of Transportation.
Crews hope to reopen the route by evening rush hour.
Police said that two tractor-trailers were involved in a crash at about 8 a.m. No injuries were reported.
"There's a red substance that (hazardous materials teams) have identified as paint," said Leslie Dybiec of the Washington Township Fire Department. "Also, (there is) a clear substance that they've identified as clear-coat paint."
Firefighters contained the spill but contracted an outside company to run tests on the chemicals and perform cleanup, NBC 4 's Lauren Crowner reported.
Traffic was reportedly backed up to Marysville at one point, Crowner reported.
