Florida SWAT Team Calls Hazmat Crew After Raiding House

SWAT team members reported feeling itchiness in their throats and smelling a chemical.

A hazmat crew has responded to a Miami home after members of a SWAT team that was conducting a raid there detected some sort of chemical.

After entering a house near the intersection of 35th Avenue and Northwest 15th Street Thursday afternoon, SWAT team members reported feeling itchiness in their throats and smelling a chemical they could not identify. It is not clear why the SWAT team reported to the house.

Miami Fire Rescue and a hazmat crew reported to the scene.

Officials said the SWAT team members will be washed down because they do not want to take any risks.

Investigators said they are trying to identify some chemicals found in the home.
