Pittsburgh Firefighters Allegedly Use Equipment For Personal Use

Oct. 13, 2005
Five firefighters in uniform were helping a fellow firefighter remove a satellite dish.

Neighbors and Pittsburgh officials want to know why the equipment was being used for personal work.

According to several people on the West End, five firefighters were at a home along Noblestown Road on September 5.

They were helping a fellow firefighter remove a satellite dish from his roof.

All five were seen wearing their blue "on-duty" uniforms.

Pittsburgh City Council members are now promising to investigate.

Even if the firefighters were not on duty, they will still have to explain to city officials why the ladder truck was being used.
