May 4, 2006
A number of fire departments have been called to assist with the fire.

Firefighters are battling a blaze at a historic building in Loudonville in southern Ashland County Thursday.

Officials said that the former Flxible building is burning.

There are multiple burn victims from the fire, NewsChannel5 reported. There is no immediate word on the extent of the burns.

Ther are multiple ladder trucks and fire departments from neighboring counties helping with the blaze.

The building is currently operated by Universal Coach Parts, a charter bus repair company at 520 North Spring St.

It holds a lot of history for the city of Loudonville.

Hugo H. Young first opened the Flxible Sidecar Company in the building in 1914. Young and Charles Kettering then started building professional cars, ambulances, funeral cars and motorbuses in 1924.
