Police discovered a marijuana growing operation inside a warehouse on Tuesday morning after fire was reported at the building.
Firefighters said they found heavy smoke inside Northwest Seafood, a retail and wholesale fish market located on Northwest 27th Avenue.
After the smoke subsided, police entered the building and discovered what they described as a grow house on the top floor of the warehouse.
The Opa-locka police chief said the grow house may have been stealing electricity from the warehouse.
