Firefighters rescued passengers from a burning car late Thursday night.

Investigators said the driver apparently lost control on Chicago Avenue in Thorton and went off the road, slamming into a tree.

The car burst into flames, and the people inside apparently became trapped.

Firefighters pulled at least one person out of the vehicle.

The conditions of the victims have not been released.
