Sydney was surrounded by family and some of her fellow troop members when the Papillion Fire Department stopped by with a special delivery.

A Papillion girl got a big boost in her Girl Scout Cookie sales over the weekend from some of the same people who saved her life.

Sydney Lepkowski, 8, was injured in a car crash earlier this month. Her injuries have meant she can't walk door-to-door to sell cookies.

On Saturday, Sydney was surrounded by family and some of her fellow troop members when the Papillion Fire Department stopped by with a special delivery.

"So, what we did is that we ended up taking your order form at the fire station, and we actually sold 307 boxes of cookies," said Capt. Jeff Strawn. "Just over $1,100 of cookies sold from the fire station itself."

Sydney pretended to faint as Strawn read the totals.

Many of the firefighters who were at Sydney's house buying cookies were at the scene of her car crash, and helped treat her injuries.
