Mississippi Firefighter Injured in Blaze

The firefighter's injuries aren't considered life-threatening.

JACKSON, Miss. --

A Jackson firefighter is hospitalized after being injured in a roaring blaze Monday afternoon.

Arson Investigator Vernon Hughes said a fire broke out at an upholstery shop on Country Club Drive at about 1 p.m.

The firefighter's injuries aren't considered life-threatening, and he's recovering at University Medical Center.

His name has not yet been released.
