They had to fight the flames from outside the home

Firefighters spent much of Tuesday morning battling a three-alarm house fire.

Crews were called to Larona Avenue and Rockdale Avenue shortly after 5 a.m. to find fire on all three floors of a duplex. Firefighters had to fight the flames from outside the home because of the amount of fire inside.

The fire eventually reached three alarms as more firefighters were called to assist at the fire. Part of the building collapsed at about 6 a.m.

No serious injuries have been reported. The home was vacant at the time of the fire.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
