Two boys, ages 12 and 13, were charged with arson after telling sheriff's deputies in Brevard County, Fla., that they set a public library on fire because they were bored, according to Local 6 News partner Florida Today .
Brevard County sheriff's deputies and Brevard County Fire-Rescue responded to a fire call Monday night at the St. John Public Library located at 6500 Carroll Ave.
When firefighters arrived they found a fire had been set and heavy smoke was coming from the book despository at the entrance to the library, Florida Today reported.
Sheriff's deputies said two witnesses led them to a 13-year-old in connection with the fire. The teen then led officers to his alleged accomplice, a 12-year-old boy.
Officials said the boys told deputies that they set the fire because they were bored, according to the report.
