Louisiana Firefighter crashes into family of four

Accident occured enroute to Arkansas fire.
A fire fighter on his way to help neighbors in need was involved in an accident March 4. It happened just across the Louisiana-Arkansas state line on County Road 21 in Columbia County, Arkansas. A fire fighter from Springhill, Louisiana, was going to help Columbia County crews battle a woods fire, when he crashed into a car carrying a family of four. The driver of that vehicle was a pregnant woman. She was treated for a broken ankle. Her 16-year-old brother is said to have a severe head injury frm being thrown through a window. Her husband had a chest injury. They were airlifted to LSU Hospital. A two-year-old was was treated for bumps and bruises. The fire fighter was taken to springhill medical center where he was treated and released. The fire was later contained with the help of several local agencies.
