A civilian also was treated for burns.

A fire broke out at an Akron apartment building Monday night, sending three people to the hospital, NewsChannel5 reported.

A woman who lived at the Spring Hill Apartments was burned and two firefighters were injured.

"It was still flames coming from upstairs," said Ebony Simmons. "I saw a lady that was burnt. She had, I think, second-degree burns on her, and I saw a whole lot of paramedics treating her."

All the residents are back in their homes.

Investigators are still trying to determine what started the fire.
