Hazardous materials teams have been called in to help contain a chemical spill in East Point.
Officials say a garbage truck spilled an unknown chemical on Barksdale Circle.
A resident called police when he noticed vapors and a strong odor coming from the spill.
East Point firefighters called in the Hazardous Materials Team from the Atlanta fire department.
Officials have closed off the street and are telling residents to stay in their homes.
Haz-mat teams are also being sent to the transfer station where the garbage truck brought its cargo.
