Florida Firefighter Saves Own Daughter

A seven-car crash in Daytona Beach, Fla., turned into a personal drama for a firefighter when he found and was forced to rescue his own daughter, according to a Local 6 News report.

Firefighter John Garcia pulled his 17-year-old daughter, Ashley, from a mangled wreck Thursday after her Ford Mustang crashed.

Garcia rode with her to the hospital after rescuing the girl.

The firefighter's daughter is expected to be OK, despite suffering serious cuts and bruises in the crash.

Another driver was charged in the crash for failure to yield, Local 6 News reported.
