Pennsylvania Fire Leaves 10 Hurt, including Firefighters

The blaze in Monroeville forced 42 people out of their homes.

Ten people, including four firefighters, were taken to the hospital after a fire in Monroeville on Wednesday night.

It happened about 8 p.m. at the Cambridge Square Apartments on Cambridge Square Drive (map) .

Two dozen apartments in two buildings were damaged as flames ripped through the roofs, according to reports.

The huge flames and thick smoke forced 42 people in 18 families out of their homes.

All 10 people who were taken to the hospital are expected to recover.

Investigators will be back at the scene on Thursday to figure out what caused the fire.

The Red Cross is helping the tenants who lost their apartments in the fire.
