One Person Dies in Philadelphia Fire

The mass transit system was not delayed by the nearby blaze.

One person died in an apartment fire in West Philadelphia Thursday.

The fire was on the 6200 block of Market Street.

The blaze broke out about 1:45 p.m. in a building that housed apartments and a store.

The fire happened right across the street from the Market-Frankford El.

SEPTA service was not affected.
