Massive Fire Destroys Atlanta Home

April 18, 2006
Flames were visible for miles.

A massive fire roared through a home in northeast Atlanta this morning.

Flames reached at least thirty feet into the air from the house on Boulevard at Arnold just off North Avenue.

Police shut down several lanes of Boulevard to give firefighters room to battle the blaze.

Firefighters were trying to keep the fire from spreading to nearby homes.

There's no word yet if anyone in the home was injured.
