Firefighters in Charlotte were busy overnight with a car fire and two separate house fires.

Police say someone set a car on fire in southwest Charlotte.

The car was found on Culp Road near Westinghouse Boulevard around 12:15a.m. Friday.

Authorities say the car was stolen.

Nearly 45 minutes later, firefighters were dispatched to a house fire in west Charlotte.

Flames broke out at a home on North Smallwood Place around 1a.m. Friday.

The second house fire erupted around 3:45a.m. Friday morning.

Fire crews were called out to a home on Billingsley Road.

Smoke could be seen pouring from the house.

One person at home at the time of that fire was able to get out safely.

So far, investigators have not determined what started the fires.
