Three firefighters were hurt while battling a house fire in Chester Friday morning.

The injuries happened while they were battling a blaze inside a row house at 2nd and Jeffrey.

"They got in, knocked most of the bulk of the fire down on the first floor. As they were attempting to make the second, uh, stairway gave way on 'em," said Battalion Chief Jack Gresch, with the Chester Fire Department.

All three firefighters are in good condition.
