The former chief retired earlier this year.

The Lancaster City Council unanimously approved Timothy Gregg as the citys new fire chief.

Gregg is a 20-year veteran of the Lancaster Bureau of Fire. He was nominated for the job by Lancaster Mayor Rick Grey. Gregg said his priorities as the new chief will be the safety of his firefighters and the hiring of new firefighters.
