San Antonio firefighters could have to wait before their breathing tanks are fixed, News 4 WOAI learned Tuesday.

Several tanks, made by a company called Interspiro, have failed on firefighters in the last few months, officials said.

Last week, the city demanded Interspiro come up with solutions and deadlines to fix the problems.

The company could decide to replace parts on all 400 tanks used by the San Antonio Fire Department, officials said, but the company told the city it would need about two months to make the repairs.

The fire chief said the department still has questions, and they will try to push the company to move faster.
