Burning Ceiling Collapses On Kansas Firefighters

One firefighter made it out OK; the other suffered some minor injuries.

A burning house in Franklin County collapsed Thursday with firefighters inside, KMBC's Martin Augustine reported.

Officials said firefighters were putting out hot spots in the burning home when the ceiling collapsed.

Two firefighters were inside at the time. One made it out OK; the other suffered some minor injuries. Both were taken to hospitals.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
