California Firefighters Rescue Woman, Waist-Deep Mud

A woman became stuck waist-deep in mud Sunday at Lake Murray, a San Diego fire dispatcher said.

Firefighters were called to the community park at 6980 Lake Murray Drive at 2:55 p.m.

The woman was eventually freed.

The mud runs deep in that area of the park, where the water has receded from the lake.

There are signs posted in the area warning people away from the lake bed.
