BRIDGEPORT, Conn. --

Another fire inspector in Bridgeport has been fired as part of an undercover investigation.

Lorenzo Pittman was fired by the city Wednesday for allegedly doing personal work while on the clock.

Investigators said Pittman took a department vehicle to Springfield, Mass., while he was on call.

Because of that, he responded more than an hour late to a fire scene.

The city has dismissed four other inspectors for similar infractions.
