It took nearly a dozen firefighters two hours to pull a 32-year-old Palamino horse from the mud in western Lake Worth on Wednesday.
The horse named Cyboy inched his way into a mulch pond in a pasture.
"I knew something was wrong because he always comes. We have a bell, and I clanged the bell, and he didn't come," said Polly Armstrong, the horse's owner.
Palm Beach County Fire Rescue sedated Cyboy before rescuing him from the mud.
After a brief bath and a good meal, Cyboy was off to graze again.
