ATLANTA --
The Atlanta Fire Department is investigating the death of a person found in the charred remains of what was once a boarding house in Midtown Atlanta.
Firefighters were dispatched to the house about 1:20 a.m. Friday. Fire Department spokesman Captain Bill May says the first floor of the two-story house was boarded up and the house had no working utilities.
Authorities have not released the name of the person found inside.
May says it's unclear how the person died.
He says nothing at the scene indicates whether the fire was accidental or set.
