A Nash County volunteer firefighter is accused of allegedly setting a fire himself.
Jeremy Hicks, 19, is charged with second-degree arson for staring a fire at a vacant mobile home on West Mount Road on Jan. 21.
Authorities say the trailer was damaged. No one was injured.
Hicks, a volunteer firefighter with the West Mount Volunteer Fire Department, was released into his father's custody on a signed promise to return for court.
