N.C. Firefighter Charged with Arson

Mobile home was vacant at the time, and no injuries occurred.

A Nash County volunteer firefighter is accused of allegedly setting a fire himself.

Jeremy Hicks, 19, is charged with second-degree arson for staring a fire at a vacant mobile home on West Mount Road on Jan. 21.

Authorities say the trailer was damaged. No one was injured.

Hicks, a volunteer firefighter with the West Mount Volunteer Fire Department, was released into his father's custody on a signed promise to return for court.
