Oxygen Tanks Explode In Pennsylvania House Fire

Firefighters in York County battled two fires overnight.

Fire destroyed four row homes on the first block of South 4th Street in Mount Wolf shortly before 1 a.m. At least two others were damaged.

One woman was taken to the hospital after oxygen tanks in her home exploded during the fire.

The Red Cross is helping the displaced residents. There's no word on what started the fire.

Officer Rescues Woman

Shortly before 3 a.m., fire damaged an apartment building on the 3700 block of East Market Street east of York.

A Springettsbury Township police officer rescued a woman from a second-floor apartment.

A man who lived there also got out safely. There's no word on a cause of the fire.

The apartment building is housed on top of the business Amerex American Exteriors.
