MONROEVILLE, Pa. --

County homicide detectives said one volunteer firefighter shot and killed another one, along with his wife, early Saturday morning in Monroeville.

The double shooting happened around 12:30 a.m. outside the Don Pablo's restaurant on Mall Boulevard, police said.

Tracy Lang, 41, died at the scene, and Louis Goldenson, 36, of Monroeville, was taken to West Penn Hospital-Forbes Regional Campus, where he later died.

John Lang, 34, of Pitcairn, was arrested and charged with two counts of homicide and a firearms violation.

"They were quiet -- no wild parties, no nothing. It was truly shocking," said the Langs' neighbor, Dolores Dover. "I can't say anything bad about them, anything negative. They were always very nice to me. John was very helpful."

According to police reports, John Lang confessed to firing multiple shots at his wife and Goldenson when he caught them "embracing and kissing" in the restaurant parking lot.

"Tracy is gone. Another man is gone, which I didn't know. John's life is ruined. Do you know what I'm saying? All this is a tragedy," said Dover.

Flags are being flown at half-staff to remember Goldenson outside Monroeville Volunteer Fire Company Station 6, in the Garden City neighborhood.
